Marshmallows – bigfluffy ones work best, but mini marshmallows are fun for bite-size treats.
Chocolate chips – semi-sweetmilk, or dark—your call.
Toppingsoptional but fun: crushed nuts, rainbow sprinkles, coconut flakes, crushed cookies, or even a pinch of sea salt.
Skewers or toothpicks – to make dipping easier.
Instructions
Prep the chocolate: Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring in between until smooth and glossy. If you prefer, use a double boiler.
Skewer the marshmallows: Stick each marshmallow onto a skewer or toothpick. This makes dipping cleaner and faster.
Dip the marshmallows: Submerge each marshmallow halfway (or fully, if you’re feeling extra) into the melted chocolate. Twist slightly to coat evenly.
Add toppings: Immediately sprinkle your chosen toppings onto the chocolate before it sets. Time it right—chocolate hardens fast!
Set them aside: Place the dipped marshmallows on a parchment-lined tray. Chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes until the chocolate is firm.
Optional drizzle: Melt a contrasting chocolate color and drizzle over the set marshmallows for a fancy look.
