Ingredients

  • 2 cups kale leaves stems trimmed
  • 1 cup cucumber chopped
  • 1 green apple core removed
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1/2 lemon peeled
  • 1- inch piece fresh ginger
  • 1 cup cold water or coconut water
  • Optional: a handful of parsley or mint for brightness

Instructions

  • Prep everything: wash, trim, and chop so you’re not wrestling greens while the clock’s ticking.
  • Juice the kale, cucumber, apple, celery, lemon, and ginger. If your juicer balks, give it a nudge with the water to help it along.
  • Pour the juice through a fine-mesh sieve if you want a smoother sip. No judgment if you skip this step—texture is personal.
  • Stir in cold water or coconut water to loosen and chill. Taste; adjust lemon or apple to your preference.
