Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken shredded or cubed
  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup or homemade creamy sauce
  • 1/2 cup milk any kind you like
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard optional, but tasty
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers for topping
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted (for the topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a casserole dish. Yes, this matters more than you think.
  • In a large bowl, mix the chicken, broccoli, onion, garlic, cheese, soup, milk, sour cream, and seasonings. Stir until everything looks uniformly delicious.
  • Spread the mixture into the prepared dish. Smooth the top so it bakes evenly and looks photogenic for your Instagram story.
  • In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter. Sprinkle over the casserole for a golden, crunchy crown.
