Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened dairy-free milk almond, oat, or soy all work—choose your vibe
  • 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1-2 tsp sweetener of choice maple syrup, sugar, or a dash of coconut sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp creamy non-dairy creamer optional for extra silk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract optional, but it’s the secret weapon
  • Cinnamon or cocoa dust for topping optional, but who doesn’t love a little sparkle

Instructions

  • Brew your coffee strong. If you’re using an espresso machine, pull two shots. If not, make a concentrated cup of coffee so the latte doesn’t get weak.
  • Heat the milk gently in a small saucepan or microwave until it’s hot but not boiling. You want steamy vibes, not a science experiment.
  • Whisk or froth the milk until it’s creamy and a touch foamy. You can use a handheld frother, a whisk, or a jam jar—whatever makes you feel like a barista in tights.
  • Stir in the sweetener, vanilla (if using), and a pinch of salt. Taste and adjust sweetness to your liking. You’re the boss of your latte, boss.
  • Pour the coffee into a mug, then slowly add the frothed milk. Hold back the foam with a spoon if you want a cleaner pour.
