Ingredients

  • 2 medium ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter smooth or chunky, your call
  • 1/4 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil helps chocolate drizzle smoothly
  • Optional toppings: shredded coconut chopped nuts, mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Prep the bananas: Peel and slice bananas into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Lay them out on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Add peanut butter: Spread a small dollop of peanut butter on each banana slice. You can sandwich two slices together for double the indulgence.
  • Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring each time, until smooth and glossy.
  • Drizzle or dip: Use a spoon or fork to drizzle chocolate over the banana bites. If you’re feeling fancy, dip half of each bite in chocolate for extra drama.
  • Freeze: Place the tray in the freezer for 30–60 minutes, until chocolate is firm and bananas are chilled through.
  • Optional toppings: Sprinkle with shredded coconut, nuts, or mini chocolate chips before chocolate fully sets for added texture.
  • Serve & enjoy: Pop a bite straight from the freezer for an instant treat.
