Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach or kale or a heroic combo
  • 1/2 cucumber chopped
  • 1 green apple cored
  • 1 celery rib
  • 1 small lemon peeled
  • 1- inch piece fresh ginger
  • 1 cup water or coconut water adjust for consistency
  • A pinch of sea salt optional, but really, optional is boring

Instructions

  • Wash all produce thoroughly. Yes, even greens that look innocent. We’re avoiding mystery grit.
  • Roughly chop ingredients so your blender or juicer can handle them without throwing a tantrum.
  • Juice or blend greens, cucumber, apple, celery, lemon, and ginger. If you’re blending, add water gradually to reach your preferred consistency.
  • -Strain if you must, but most of us will skip this for extra fiber. Sip and smile as the color wakes you up.
  • Stir in a pinch of sea salt if you’re feeling fancy. Serve immediately for maximum brightness.
