Prep your pan.
Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper. Leave a little overhang so you can lift the fudge out later like a pro.
Melt the good stuff.
In a saucepan over low heat, add chocolate chips, peanut butter, butter, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly so nothing burns. Patience here pays off.
Stir until smooth.
Keep stirring until everything melts into a glossy, smooth mixture. If it looks like liquid gold, you’re doing it right.
Add vanilla and salt.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and a pinch of salt. Don’t skip this—it balances the sweetness.
Pour and smooth.
Pour the mixture into your prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Try not to lick the spoon too aggressively.
Chill out.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm. This is the hardest part—waiting.
Slice and enjoy.
Lift out, cut into squares, and prepare to fall in love.
