Ingredients

  • 3 slices bread yes, three—trust the process
  • 1 –1½ cups cooked chicken or turkey leftovers = perfect
  • 2 –3 tbsp gravy the MVP, no debate
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp cranberry sauce sweet + savory magic
  • Lettuce leaves for a little crunch, because balance
  • Salt & pepper optional, but recommended

Instructions

  • Prep your bread
  • Lay out all three slices. Spread mayonnaise on one slice and cranberry sauce on another. The third slice? Keep it ready—it’s about to become iconic.
  • Layer the base
  • Place lettuce and your chicken/turkey on the mayo side. Don’t be shy—pile it on. This isn’t the time for portion control.
  • Make the Moist Maker
  • Dip the third slice of bread lightly into warm gravy. Not soaked like a sponge, just nicely coated. This is the moment. Respect it.
  • Stack it up
  • Place the gravy-dipped bread on top of the meat layer. Then add more turkey/chicken if you’re feeling bold.
  • Top it off
  • Finish with the cranberry-covered slice on top. Press gently to hold everything together.
  • Slice and serve
  • Cut in half (if you can manage without it falling apart) and dig in immediately.
