Ingredients

  • Minimal ingredients maximum glow-up:
  • 15 g coffee beans freshly ground = chef’s kiss
  • 250 ml hot water not boiling lava, relax
  • V60 dripper + paper filter
  • Mug or server
  • Kettle preferably with a spout, but we improvise if needed
  • Golden ratio tip: 1:16 coffee to water = perfect balance

Instructions

  • Heat your water.
  • Bring water to about 90–96°C. If you don’t have a thermometer, just let boiling water sit for 30–45 seconds. Boom—problem solved.
  • Prep your filter.
  • Place the paper filter in your V60 and rinse it with hot water. This removes paper taste and warms everything up. Don’t skip this—seriously.
  • Add your coffee.
  • Pour in your ground coffee and gently shake to level it out. Flat bed = even extraction = better flavor.
  • Bloom the coffee.
  • Pour a small amount of water (about 30–40ml) over the grounds. Let it sit for 30 seconds. This releases gases and makes your coffee taste way better.
  • Pour slowly.
  • Continue pouring water in slow, circular motions. Don’t rush—this isn’t a race. Take about 2–3 minutes total.
  • Let it drip.
  • Once all water is poured, let it fully drip through. No shaking, no tapping—just patience.
  • Serve and sip.
  • Remove the dripper, give it a gentle swirl, and enjoy your masterpiece.
